Photos from Youth Heritage Day conducted at the Tishomingo Wildlife Refuge. Students were able to see the culture of the Chickasaw people through demonstrations.
Drug Elimination Program
The Drug Elimination Program provides services to residents in high risk housing developments to combat drugs and drug related crimes through prevention/intervention and criminal justice.
Services provided include: referrals for drug rehabilitation, 24-hour armed security at Chickasaw Hills (Low Rent development in Ardmore), 8-hour armed drive-by at Golden Oaks (Mutual Help development in Ardmore), computer learning centers for residents, ten $500 educational scholarships, organized sports for youth and an annual awareness, prevention and education camp for youth.
Customer Service
The customer service section of the administrative services department provides education and assistance to the public regarding housing programs and housing related services. A customer service representative visits community council meetings, senior sites and regional offices without a housing satellite office on a regular basis.
