The Chickasaw Honor Guard is a non-profit organization which was established with five members who were all Chickasaw Veterans. The Honor Guard was started to conduct military honors at funerals and memorial services for Chickasaw Veterans. In 1993 it was expanded to include honors for all Veterans. Today, the Honor Guard consists of 20 members and 12 auxiliary members. They are invited to participate in many different tribal functions for the Chickasaws and other tribes, plus performing in cultural events, parades, pow wows and other patriotic activities.
