Kenneth Meeler
Chickasaw Activist
Kenneth Meeler was known for his activism and participation in working for his Chickasaw people. His foresight and the influence of his legacy helped form a guide for the Chickasaw Nation that will impact generations to come.
Kenneth was one of the original 1983 Election Commission members who served his people by helping create the first Chickasaw Constitution.
That Constitution was ratified by qualified voters of the Chickasaw nation on August 27, 1983 by an overwhelming vote of 1,595 to 232.
Sally Chloe Grinslade Bell

Sally Chloe Grinslade Bell will be remembered for a lifetime of service to the Chickasaw people.
A strong belief in "learning from whence we have come and looking forward to where we need to be in the future" describes her outlook and focus.
Governor Overton James appointed Sally to commission to assist in the writing of the present Chickasaw Nation Constitution, which the Chickasaw people voted to accept overwhelmingly. Her contribution to this important document exemplifies the rights and freedom of all her people.
